TO BE SOLD BY PRIVATE CONTRACT,
ALL, that old-established and well-accustomed INN, called THE ROSE-AND-CROWN, situate in Hereford-street, in the Town of Presteign, in the said County, and now in the Occupation of Mr George Howard; consisting of a good Kitchen, Two Parlours, Bar, Back Kitchen, Brew-house, Nine excellent Bed Rooms, Two good Cellars, and other convenient Offices, good Stabling, spacious Yard, with a large Garden, well planted with Fruit Trees, and every convenience for carrying on the Public Business.
A part of the Purchase Money may remain on Mortgage if required.
The Tenant will show the Premises; and Particulars obtained on application to Mr. J J Bywater, Auctioneer, Presteign, who is authorised to treat for the Sale by Private Contract.

Two Guineas Reward.
LOST, from the Rose and Crown, Presteign, on the Night of the Seventh of August (supposed to be Stolen), a YELLOW AND WHITE SETTER BITCH, Two Years old, and answers to the Name of SUSAN. Whoever will bring the said Bitch to Mr. E. Lechmere, Hereford, shall receive the above Reward.

Lately an inquest was held at Mr. G. Howard's, of the Rose and Crown, Presteign, before Edw. L. James. Esq., coroner, and a respectable jury, upon the body of a poor man (name unknown) who died at one of the lodging-houses.
Verdict, "Died by the Visitation of God."
